After a weekend with no competitions in the southern show choir circuit, the poll rankings are back. Voters were only asked to consider results up until Mar. 7, meaning placements like Briarwood and Tift County at FAME Orlando were not considered.

News and Notes
Briarwood Bumps Up
Briarwood Christian Radica ended their Southern season with a runner-up finish at Jasper, placing behind only Oak Mountain. That was enough for panelists to move them from tenth to eighth in the large mixed rankings. Radica then closed their overall season at FAME Orlando this past weekend, landing on the overall podium ahead of Blue Valley, Tift County and American Leadership Academy.
Single-Gender Shimmying
This weekend at Madison Central, the single-gender division is comprised of four groups: two from Northwest Rankin and two from Biloxi. The Allure and Sound Sirens have both been hot at points this season and will have a bout to see who has more momentum at this moment. Sound Sailors and The Ambition will also complete a battle of Mississippi mens choirs.
Small Mixed Sensations
A pair of small mixed groups scored decisive wins on Mar. 7. Rome Grand Finale bumped up to the Championship Division at Tift County and defended their overall title at the event, placing above Appling County and Opelika. Tarpon Springs traveled from Florida to Ohio and swept small mixed finals. Jelissa Matos also took a Best Soloist caption as well. Both groups saw improvements in the rankings, with Tarpon Springs cracking the podium and Rome rejoining the rankings.
