It's the final week of competitions in Ohio for the 2026 season! Although things are coming to an end, there's still opportunities in every division to see things get shaken up.
Four regional experts were surveyed on 25 of Ohio's best show choirs. The results, plus some news and notes, are included below.
Large Mixed
Marysville “Swingers Unlimited” (4 first-place votes, no change)
Solon “Music In Motion” (+1)
Loveland “By Request” (+1)
Findlay “First Edition” (-2)
Fairfield “Choraliers” (NC)
Grove City “Touch of Class” (+2)
Piqua “The Company” (-1)

Receiving Votes: None.
News and Notes
Marysville spends their ninth consecutive week on top, maintaining their dominance over Ohio.
Loveland bounces back to the podium after their biggest win in recent years.
Findlay faced a tough loss against Grove City at Solon, causing them to fall from the podium while Grove City moves ahead of Piqua and Olentangy.
Small Mixed:

Euclid “Varsity Chorale” (NC)
North Royalton “Royal Harmony” (NC)

The upper echelon remains mostly the same, although Twinsburg falls into the lower half of the system after missing finals at Solon.
Ranks on the lower half remain the same as well, except for Norwood receiving votes for the first time this season.
Single-Gender
Marysville “Swingers Select” (4 first-place votes, no change)
Fairfield “Pure Elegance” (NC)
Loveland “Allure” (NC)
Olentangy “She-notes” (NC)
Grove City “Class Act” (NC)
News and Notes
Everything remains the same for the single-gender division. A few groups will have chances to make splashes at Marysville or season-ending events.
Looking Ahead
This weekend brings three competitions into focus for Ohio groups, including the final competition to take place in Ohio, the Marysville Showcase (see preview here).
In Indiana, Norwell will host Alliance, Middletown, and Twinsburg at their invitational. This competition will take five finalists, so it is likely to see at least one choir from Ohio in the finals.
In West Virginia, Winfield is hosting their make-up Emerald Showcase that was postponed earlier this season. The line-up looks a little different, but still features ETC, who is now the likely favorite to win the competition.
