The Oklahoma competition season will come to an end on Wed., Mar. 25, in Edmond. Hosting more than double the groups than last year, this large one-and-done competition will be great finale to an already successful show choir season in the Sooner State.
The Lineup (open high school division)
Bethany “Treblemakers”*
Crossings Christian “Knightengales”
Bethany “Broadway Babies”
Bethany “New Mix”
Duncan “Reflections”
Edmond Santa Fe “Serenade”*
Guymon “Tiger Tonality”
Edmond Santa Fe “Finale”
Lexington “Pitch Slapped”*
Edmond Memorial “Act II”
MacArthur “Unmuteables”
Claremore “Sound Express”*
Lexington “Testostertones”*
Durant “Sound Etc.”
Lexington “Southern Accents”
Alva “Gold Rush!”
"*" denotes a single-gender
A lineup containing 16 high school groups means this festival ties Jenks Trochella as the largest event in Oklahoma this season. Many matchups across the circuit will be rekindled to close out the season. Some notable headlines lie in Durant, Guymon, and Lexington, the three schools that attended all of the Oklahoma competitions in 2026, as they hope to strike in their final showing. Two choirs are coming in undefeated in their divisions: Edmond Santa Fe Serenade and Edmond Memorial Act II.
Bethany will bring three choirs to their second competition of the season after cleaning out the 4A division at Duncan. Having not competed in well over a month, New Mix and Treblemakers pose threats as true wildcards, hoping to shake things up in overall placements and mixed/single clef. The Broadway Babies, the all-freshman choir from Bethany, look to add to the competitive field as the last freshman choir left in Oklahoma following the departure of Broken Arrow Tiger Momentum after the 2024 season.
Lexington is capping off an eventful competition season, with Edmond Santa Fe serving as their fifth and final competition of 2026. The Southern Accents took home two second-place finishes in their division at Oklahoma festivals and one triumphant Grand Championship at Hollister, Mo., marking their third straight win at that event. The Testostertones are real challengers for the best single-gender award, as they are the only choir of their class to reach the finals this season. Pitch Slapped is another choir gunning for a podium finish within the single-gender groups.
Two-time grand champion this season Edmond Memorial will fight to remain undefeated both in overall placements and in Best Vocals consideration. Act II has won three in a row (all with Best Vocals) after their win at Enid earlier this month and are looking to solidify a top-three spot in Oklahoma just under Broken Arrow and Jenks.
Crossings Christian will make its debut this season after competing twice last year. While it will be the group's first and only competition this season, it is not out of the realm of possibility that the Knightengales shake things up in a large division.
One of the best visual schools in Oklahoma, Alva will be gunning for another caption after they lost choreography to Mustang at Enid. But with the Backstage Broncos not attending, it will be interesting to see if Gold Rush can reclaim their crown and even surpass Edmond Memorial.
While the Edmond schools are favored, with so many quality programs in attendance, there is no true way of predicting the outcome. Each choir will be trying to end the season on a high note. It will be exciting to see who comes out on top and who moves up the ranks. Despite that, this author will still loft up a set of predictions for the fun of it all.
