Nebraska Show Choir Rankings 3/13/26

Three regional experts evaluated 35 of Nebraska’s top show choirs to determine the rankings. While divisions are primarily based on NSAA cutlines, some adjustments were made for groups that compete in multiple divisions throughout the season.


Large School

1. Gretna “Revolution” (3 first-place votes, no change)

2. Westside “Amazing Technicolor Show Choir” (NC)

3. Millard West “West in the Groove” (NC)

4. Gretna East “Equinox” (NC)

5. Hastings “UNCAGED” (+3)

6. Grand Island Northwest “14 Karat Gold” (-1)

7. Elkhorn North “adrENaline” (-1)

8. Lincoln Southwest “Resonance” (-1)

9. Elkhorn South “Blackout” (NC)

10. Papillion-La Vista South “Titanium” (+1)

11. Lincoln East “Express” (-1)

12. Omaha South “The Ambassadors” (+1)

13. Millard North “Infinity” (-1)

14. Millard South “South on Stage” (NC)

15. Norris “Gold” (NC)


News and Notes

  • Although their season is over, Hastings had another big move in this week's rankings, moving up three spots. UNCAGED had an outstanding season, placing first at four of their five competitions

  • After placing first at the Omaha North Viking Cup, Omaha South advanced one place in the rankings. The Ambassadors will close out their season at the Wheaton Warrenville South Choral Classic in Illinois.


Single-Gender

1. Millard North “Illumination” (3 first-place votes, no change)

2. Millard West “Uptown” (NC)

3. Elkhorn South “Shock Wave” (NC)

4. Papillion-La Vista South “Titan Radiance” (+1)

5. Westside “Simply Irresistible” (-1)

6. Papillion-La Vista “Monarchy” (NC)

7. Pius X “Prism” (NC)

8. Millard South “South on Stage” (NC)

9. Papillion-La Vista “Heart and Soul” (+1)

10. Omaha South “Amplify” (New)

Receiving Votes: Norris “Titanaires”, Marian "Momentum"


News and Notes

  • Amplify climbs the rankings after their making finals at Omaha North. In finals, they placed fifth, just ahead of Omaha Northwest who also made their fourth finals appearance of the season.


Prep

3. Westside “Warrior Express” (NC)

  • The prep division stayed quiet this week as a majority of these groups have already finished their seasons.


Small School

News and Notes

  • Blair, Aurora and Wahoo had a top four showdown at Lincoln Northeast The Rock. Wahoo closed out their season with third overall, outplacing Blair and Aurora, who placed fifth and sixth in finals respectively.
