Shifting the Tides: Nebraska Show Choir Rankings 2/20/26

What felt like a quiet weekend had some major shifts in the rankings. More is on the line as we move into this weekend's competition schedule.

Three regional experts evaluated 35 of Nebraska’s top show choirs to determine the rankings. While divisions are primarily based on NSAA cutlines, some adjustments were made for groups that compete in multiple divisions throughout the season.
Large School
1. Gretna “Revolution” (2 first-place votes, no change)
2. Millard West “West in the Groove” (NC)
3. Gretna East “Equinox” (NC)
4. Elkhorn North “adrENaline” (+1)
5. Westside "Amazing Technicolor Show Choir" (-1)
6. Elkhorn South “Blackout” (NC)
7. Grand Island Northwest “14 Karat Gold” (1 first-place vote, +2)
8. Lincoln Southwest “Resonance” (+2)
9. Lincoln East “Express” (-1)
10. Papillion-La Vista South “Titanium” (-3)
11. Hastings “UNCAGED” (+3)
12. Millard North “Infinity” (-1)
13. Omaha South “The Ambassadors” (-1)

Grand Island Northwest had an excellent showing at Harrisonville last weekend. They took home first place along with best vocals and best visuals. Blue Valley is not an easy group to overcome, but they managed to do so and move up in our rankings thanks to that accomplishment.
On the contrary, Papio South moves down in the rankings after a tight finish again Lincoln Southwest at Elkhorn South. Papio South will have another opportunity to make a come back at Omaha South this weekend.
Elkhorn North is on the rise! Although they did not compete last weekend, our experts have decided that they should be in the #4 spot after Westside had a challenging weekend against Johnston and Linn-Mar at Urbandale.

Prism moved up to #6 in our rankings after their performance at Lincoln Northwest. They will be at Norris on Feb 28 against #2 Uptown and Affinity from Urbandale.
Revolution, Papio South's newest treble group, has made it into the rankings. They placed second in their division at Elkhorn South. Revolution will have another chance to shine at Omaha South where they will face Uptown, Illumination, and Simply Irresistible all in one go.
Prep

Titan Express is back on the rankings after placing first against Ambience at the Elkhorn South Crystal Cup. However, right on their tail is Intensity, 68th Street Singers, and Emergence who are receiving votes from our experts.
Warrior Express and Scats will face each other this weekend at Omaha South. This might change the rankings next week depending on who comes out on top.

Blair, Seward, and Plattsmouth are at Wahoo this weekend. There could be some big changes in the rankings next week depending on who beats who at this small school competition.
