News and Notes
With the snowy weather, the only competition featuring any Large Mixed Choirs was cancelled, resulting in no changes in this week's large mixed rankings.
Looking ahead, this weekend has four competitions featuring seven of Ohio's top ranked Large Mixed choirs.Â
The largest Ohio matchup this weekend will take place at Olentangy’s Keynote Classic. Fairfield, Loveland, and Marysville will face off against Indiana’s hottest group, Center Grove, with several Small Mixed choirs making their season debut at Olentangy. The other Ohio competition this weekend is Findlay’s FEst, where we will see a rematch of Solon vs. Piqua, with the addition of Marion Harding, Lebanon, and another collection of Small Mixed choirs.Â
Indiana will host some of Ohio's other large mixed groups. ETC will be the only Ohio group in attendance at the Northrop Classic, where they will face off with Carroll for top honors. At Edgewood’s Contest of Champions, Beavercreek will face Hurricane in addition to several strong Indiana small mixed groups.

Small Mixed
Edgewood (4 first-place votes) (NC)
Ross (+1)
Twinsburg (+1)
Euclid (-2)
Garfield Heights (+5)
North Royalton (NC)
Kenton (-2)
Alliance (+1)
Hamilton (-1)
Teays Valley (-3)
News and Notes
While Edgewood spends their second week on top this season, the tides continue to change after an exciting North Royalton Show Choir Showdown. Garfield Heights earned their first overall Grand Championship since 2020, a significant improvement from their past few seasons of tough losses. Kenton and Alliance closed out the podium, signaling great things to come for the rest of the season. Â
Looking ahead, many of the competitions that feature the Large Mixed groups also include several small mixed choirs as well.
At The Findlay FEst, Hamilton, Kenton, and North Royalton will face several other small mixed groups. In recent years, Hamilton and North Royalton have bested Marion Harding so it is safe to assume that they will be looking to snag the third spot on the podium.
At Olentangy, Teays Valley, Twinsburg, and a handful of other Small Mixed choirs will compete, all vying for a spot in finals.Â
At Edgewood (IN), Ross will face several of Indiana's top Small Mixed choirs, seeking a finals spot in a stacked lineup.
Single Gender (No Changes)
Grove City (3 first-place votes)
FairfieldÂ
Loveland (1 first-place vote)
Marysville
ETC
News and Notes
With minimal action last week, Single Gender rankings remained the same.
Olentangy and Northrop will be the primary battlegrounds this weekend for single-gender choirs. At Olentangy, three of the top four Single Gender groups will compete, with Fairfield, Loveland, and Marysville taking on Indiana's top Single Gender group, Center Grove, with just three finals spots on the line. At Northrop, ETC takes on several Indiana Single-Gender groups, including Carroll and Jay County.
