Oklahoma’s competition season kicks off Wednesday at Duncan High School, and it is stacked with talent. One of the state's longest-running competitions will host a total of 24 choirs in a day's time. This one-and-done competition is sure to yield some interesting results.

High School Division

Alva “Gold Rush!”

Bethany “Treblemakers”

Bethany “Freshwomen”

Bethany “New Mix”

Calera “Calera Choir”

Duncan “Reflections”

Durant “Sound Etc.”

Edmond Memorial “Act II”

Edmond Santa Fe “Serenade”

Edmond Santa Fe “Finale”

Enid “Rhythm in Blue”

Guymon “Tiger Tonality”

Lexington “Pitch Slapped”

Lexington “Testostertones”

Lexington “Southern Accents”

MacArthur “Unmuteables”

This massive lineup includes many of the top Oklahoma schools in Alva, Lexington, and both Edmond schools. With many of these groups trading placements throughout last season, there will likely be some tight finishes and upsets. Alva, coming off a two-win season, is considered the favorite of the competition, but Lexington may shake things up. There are a few wildcards: Calera, the new choir in the ring, and Durant, a growing program. The five single-gender choirs are hoping to make waves amongst the mixed groups. Serenade finished fourth in the finals at Jenks Trochella last season, and the Testostertones are coming off a second-place finish at Hollister and a division win at Enid.

Middle School Division

Alva “Gold Rush Jr.”

Bethany “Little Treblemakers”

Bethany “Encore”

Duncan “Pitchforks”

Durant “Appawse”

Edmond Central “Act 1”

Edmond Heartland “Thunderstruck”

Macarthur “Scot Signature Sound”

Eight groups face off in the middle school division, including Durant and Edmond Heartland, two of the premier Oklahoma junior high choirs. Durant is coming off a dominant 2025 season with two division wins, including a tie with Broken Arrow Childers Middle School at Enid last year.  Their win at Jenks really put them on the map after taking down every Broken Arrow middle school, as well as a young and hungry Bixby in a split-captain decision. Edmond Heartland also had quite the season in 2025, including a top-five finish over many high school groups and an overall Best Vocals caption at Alva's competition. The other middle schools (all feeder schools to their respective high schools) are looking to make their older siblings proud in the dogfight that is the middle school division.

Additionally, five schools will be pulling a doubleheader as they compete at Duncan on Feb. 11 and Jenks Trochella on Feb. 14. These groups are ready to put their foot on the gas and give it their all in what will be an exciting week in Oklahoma.

Doubleheader choirs include:

Durant High School “Sound Etc.”

Durant Middle School “Appawse”

Enid High School “Rhythm in Blue”

Guymon High School “Tiger Tonality”

Lexington High School “Southern Accents”

Lexington High School “Testostertones”

Lexington High School “Pitch Slapped”
