News and Notes
Franklin Central Show Choir's classic was the main competition of the week, with four ranked groups making it into a finals showdown. Carmel Ambassadors took their third win in as many weeks, winning this competition for the first time since 2023. Fishers was able to push itself above two ranked opponents, in its best result of the year. Brownsburg and Plainfield were right behind, with Brownsburg coming out on top for third.
Very little changed this past week in the Indiana rankings, as many groups took care of business both in and out-of-state. At Lafayette Jefferson, North Central Counterpoints swept both Best Vocals and Best Choreography. Avon secured their second win of the season with a solid showing at Mooresville. While these groups were favored, winning is never easy, and both groups went out and got another Grand Championship under their belt.
Two top five Indiana groups traveled to Illinois this past week, and both secured top honors. Center Grove Sound System swept the Mt. Zion Midwest Invitational, where they defeated Carroll and Illinois' Wheaton North. Similarly, Zionsville took down a perennial Illinois group in Wheaton Warrenville South to win the Sullivan Show Choir Invitational in dominant fashion, taking Best Vocals, Best Choreography, and Best Band.

News and Notes
Indiana's univoice division has been extremely unpredictable, with four of the top five groups changing places this week. Fishers Sound reasserted its place at the top of the rankings with a sweep of the Carmel Accents. The Center Grove Debtones dropped to second ahead of a matchup with Sound. Zionsville jumped above Carmel this week following their overall third place at Sullivan and in response to their announced grand championship at Pike MusicFest, where the contest director decided to remove a time penalty that had been applied to their score.
Lawrence North Bella Bravada swept at Lafayette Jefferson this past week, displaying just how unstable this region can be week in, week out. They will rematch against two ranked opponents in North Central and Plainfield this week at Lawrence Central.
At the Franklin Central Hoosier Show Choir Classic, Fishers Sound swept all major captions, placing above the Carmel Accents, who took First Runner Up. Plainfield took the last finals spot over Brownsburg in an extremely competitive field. Fishers will have to defend their top spot in a top three fight against second ranked Center Grove and third ranked Franklin Central at the Pendleton Heights Arabian Spectacular.

Franklin Community took its first win of the season with a sweep of Lafayette Jefferson’s small mixed division. This was a major win for the group, which hadn’t competed since Fishers Silver Spotlight, where they did not place. Pendleton Heights took their third divisional grand championship this season with a victory at Franklin Central on Friday night.
Lafayette Jefferson Expressions has made the top five in our rankings for the first time since the rankings began in 2024.
