Brownsburg Bulldog Spectacular

Final Results

GC: Franklin Central “FC Singers” (BV)

1RU: Carmel “Ambassadors” (BC)

2RU: Zionsville “Royalaires” (BB)

3RU: Avon “Accents”

Small Mixed Winner: Carmel “New Edition”

Large Womens Winner: Franklin Central “High Voltage”

Small Womens Winner: Cathedral “Irish Adrenaline”

In the second matchup between Indiana titans Franklin Central and Carmel, FC tied the season series with a split-caption win. They deal Carmel their first loss of the season, having previously conquered three consecutive February competitions. FC’s season is done, while Carmel will head to Noblesville this weekend. Zionsville ended its competition season by taking third to two-thirds of the Big Three, but still took care of business ahead of everybody else. Avon notched a big finals appearance to fill out the evening round. Although it is Accents’ lowest placement since a finals miss at Carroll in 2023, it comes up against as tough of competition as it could. Mitchell’s 29-competition finals streak, a run dating back to Glenwood 2019, was snapped. Glenwood also missed finals, ending a run of four competitions with finals for them this season. Franklin Central High Voltage took their third division win of the year, clearing Zionsville in second and Carmel in third. Prep groups took the top two spots in small mixed, as Carmel and FC beat New Castle and Whiteland in finals.

Marysville Showcase

Final Results

GC: Burbank “In Sync” (BV/BC)

1RU: Fishers “Electrum”

2RU: Lafayette Jefferson “First Edition”

3RU: Olentangy “Keynotes” (BB)

4RU: Ross “Legacy”

Womens Finals: 1st) Fishers "Sound" (BV/BC) 2nd) Lafayette Jefferson "Expressions" (BB) 3rd) Burbank "Blue Impressions"

Burbank’s first Midwest trip since the pandemic culminated in a commanding win, taking their second win of the season. In Sync will wait almost a month to compete again, performing on Friday, Apr. 10 at John Burroughs. Fishers flipped the script on Lafayette Jefferson from Homestead last month, with each group now having a head-to-head win this season. Electrum gained some valuable momentum ahead of Show Choir Nationals this upcoming weekend, where they will be fighting for a finals berth. First Edition won the middle mixed division in prelims and parlayed that to a podium finish in finals. Olentangy took their second Best Band caption of 2026 and also built good vibes ahead of a tough HOA Orlando contest on Mar. 28. Ross also transferred to finals from the middle mixed division, their third appearance in an overall finals this year. Legacy beat Beavercreek Friends to make finals, an improvement from Edgewood in January, where Friends beat Legacy in finals.

Wheaton Warrenville South Choral Classic

Final Results

GC: John Burroughs “Powerhouse” (BV/BC)

1RU: Wheaton North “Flight” (BB)

2RU: Omaha South “The Ambassadors”

3RU: Mt. Zion “Swingsations”

4RU: Waubonsie Valley “Sound Check”

5RU: El Paso-Gridley “Modulations”

A second Comp of the Week this week ends in a California school beating significant regional competition to claim a signature win. Burroughs, Burbank and Los Alamitos have all tried their hand at Choral Classic and left without a win, but the “California curse” was obliterated by a Powerhouse show that has also seen significant success in its home circuit this season. Wheaton North continues to show up when it matters most, coming in at the top of the Midwest groups at WWS and cementing their status as the best show choir in Illinois this season. Omaha South was a pleasant surprise to many, sporting vocals that ran with the big dogs and visuals that were fun and different in the best of ways. Mt. Zion finished their regular season with a solid finals finish in a bloodbath, erasing the memory of a 2025 finals miss at WWS. Waubonsie Valley made finals at Choral Classic for the first time since 2023, finishing a run of three very solid weekends to close their season. EPG was sixth at Wheaton for the second consecutive season, extending a finals streak that now sits at 14 competitions. Of those that missed finals, Neenah saw a 12-competition finals streak come to a close.

Wildcard: FAME Orlando

Mixed Division Results

1st: Davenport Central “Central Singers, Inc.” (BV/BC/BB)

2nd: Sparta “Upstage Adrenaline”

3rd: Briarwood “Radica”

4th: Blue Valley “Chamber Singers”

5th: Tift County “8th Street Singing Company”

6th: American Leadership Academy “Evolution”

Davenport Central completed a nearly-impeccable season, not losing since Jan. 31 and taking seven total captions en route to the win at the Hard Rock. Sparta took its third runner-up finish of the season as well as the FAME Award and a soloist caption. Briarwood rounded out its four-contest season by landing on the podium as well as nabbing the Best Show Design caption for their Stars and Dots show. Blue Valley, the winner of the last FAME Orlando competition held in 2024, capped their season with a fourth-place finish in the group’s fifth competitive season. Tift County, trying their hand in an open division for the first time this season, notched fifth. American Leadership Academy, making their yearly competition appearance, rounded out the six mixed groups. In the womens division, Sparta came out on top, followed by Briarwood and ALA. Blue Valley Classic Blend was the only group in the prep division.

Show Choir Nationals will have its own dedicated preview article this week, but the rest of the week’s storylines will be covered in Comps of the Week later this week.
