Grand Island Northwest, Sioux City East and Harrisonville Headline Millard North Lineup

Galaxy of the Stars is the last Nebraska competition of the 2026 season, bringing in a few notable groups from out of state and a central Nebraska power.

Prep Division

Sioux City East “New Sound”

Aquinas “Forte”

Grand Island Northwest “Bella Voce”

Bella Voce won this division and made finals early in this season at Lincoln Links, so they could end their season with another division win. New Sound has been having a pretty good season too, winning the Prep Division at Lincoln Northwest, so they could give Bella Voce a run for their money. And interestingly, this is Forte’s first competition of the season, hailing from David City, an hour west of Millard North.

Single-Gender Division

Sioux City East “Entourage”

Sioux City East “Prestige”

It’s rare enough to see a division made up solely of groups from the same school, but here we are. Previously in this season, Prestige has bested Entourage. That trend could continue here.

Mixed Division

Clearwater “Blue Notes”

Norfolk “Velocity”

Harrisonville “Music Makers”

Sioux City East “The Headliners”

Grand Island Northwest “14 Karat Gold”

All the way from Kansas is Blue Notes. This is their debut competition season, and after previously having appeared at Blue Valley in January, jump all the way up to the varsity division here. Velocity has missed finals at all of their competitions this season so far, but a good opportunity has emerged here to make it to the evening round. Music Makers has been a solid 4A choir in Missouri this year, as they took fifth and fourth at Smith-Cotton and Raymore-Peculiar, respectively. The Headliners have only taken second place this season, losing to Elkhorn South, Omaha South, and Ankeny, so they’re looking to finally break through to snag a win this season. And finally, 14 Karat Gold has been having a very good season, only losing to Hastings and Gretna at Grand Island. This success could likely help elevate the group to finish their season with one more Grand Champion trophy.
