From all reaches of Missouri to Kansas and even some Oklahoma groups, this season promises to bring more than its fair share of close battles and surprises.

From Kansas City to Joplin to Branson, many of the nearly 50 choirs competing in Missouri last weekend put their final performance on stage.

Platte County, Carthage, and Hollister will play host to a combined 47 groups this weekend as the season hits crunch time.

Webb City placed three choirs in finals for the first time in program history and took home the overall win of the event.

Mt. Vernon will see last year's champion, Webb City, defend that title against several other large mixed and single-gender choirs.
